Despite his young age, the half-elf Eberond Il'Elaeren had already been affected by childhood traumas and involvement in a criminal organisation. He was plagued by nightmares and a fear of a terrible change within himself that could bring upon his doom, or possibly something even worse.
He sought to wipe the slate clean of the past horrors and the blood from his hands. Following a betrayal by the hands of Slyblade, a criminal from the Silver Fangs, Eberond found himself in Junstol, recovering from his wounds. Here he met a couple of acquaintances from his childhood, and set about to pass the time by catching up with them. Following an encounter where a villager asked for help to rid fiends from her basement, Eberond continued to stick with the friends, unsure where it would lead him. Yet he is still assailed by nightmares, dread sequences resulting from recent and past traumas. He fears that he may have have become a werewolf, changeling creatures he heard about from a fairy tale, which would transform in savage creatures and cause mayhem. Unfortunately in 5249AC, during the Siege of Azuith's Temple he overcome by the Avatar of Murder within and turned into a fearsome monstrosity. Using these powers he helped clear off the last orc defenders but was banished by Cailus Blacktooth before the monster could attach the inhabitants of the temple itself. The Avatar was subsequently defeated in the Temple of Bhaal during the 6. The Clittering, forming part of the temple and sealing Bhaal's position as One of The Four.
