Scholars Guild
The Scholars Guild, despite its simple name, wields significant influence in the realm of historical documentation, the establishment of a unified global calendar, and the funding of various educational factions.
With the honour of being the first organization to adopt a name in the Serenity tongue, a language they held a great deal of effort into making. The Scholars Guild stands as the progenitor of knowledge preservation.
Originally established with the noble purpose of safeguarding knowledge, the guild's scope expanded exponentially when the use of magic was outlawed. The vast number of scholars under its banner became indispensable in propelling technological advancements forward. In response to its growth, the guild birthed numerous sub-organizations, including the renowned Musk Candle, which holds a position of prominence in the northern realms as archeologists.
Structure
The Scholars Guild functions as an umbrella organization, encompassing diverse guilds operating under its auspices. Each guild elects a representative who holds a seat within the Scholars Guild, responsible for making decisions on behalf of their respective guilds.
The structure of the guild fosters collaboration and collective decision-making, enabling the pooling of knowledge, expertise, and resources for the betterment of scholarly pursuits. This cohesive approach ensures that the Scholars Guild remains at the forefront of intellectual progress, united in its dedication to the pursuit of knowledge and the advancement of society.

The guilds agenda has shifted over the years, however its routed belief is the preservation and sharing of knowledge to all no matter their country of origin. History
The guild was founded in the year -1048, by a group of scholars.
This was a time before family names were for everyone but the nobility leaving most of the founders with only first names to be recalled, however as their children adopted the surname "Scribe" it became associated with all the founders besides Tisar.

I like the outline of how the guild is organized plus the further worldbuilding with the mention of magic being outlawed. I'm curious how and why it was outlawed and if anyone in the guild might be looking into that. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Feel free to check out my entries: Summer Camp 2023 Entry List
Thank you! Just so happens that for this set of prompts, I am focusing on the wars caused and led with magic. Also referred to as the dark ages.
