Stemodile

A crocodile that has a back made up of stone. The name translates to stone crocodile from Waltish, but is often called monolith crocodiles when speaking in Serenity.
It is impossible to tell them apart from the native rocks of Mashent where they lay on the mountain peaks absorbing the sun.
They are dangerous to travellers crossing the mountains. They cause issues for mountain settlements and are dangerous, they often hire the forest-dwelling Woisen to hunt them. But in rare cases, the mountain-dwelling Waaltig  do the hunting themself and wear their stone hide as a symbol of honour.
