Tasriq
Known as "Tasriq," which means "the deceiver" in the Donsel language. Tasriq is believed to be a mischievous jinn of the Nultenwas faith who enjoys playing tricks on mortals crossing the desert. They are associated with the mirages that appear in the desert and are often depicted as shimmering figure in the distance, beckoning travellers towards them.
They are associated with a symbol of a snake tightly bound around a cactus.
The Sembar people have mixed views on Tasriq. Some see them as a malevolent force to be feared and avoided, while others view them as a necessary part of the desert ecosystem, testing the mettle of those who dare to cross its vast expanse. Despite their reputation for trickery and deception, the Tasriq is also seen as a source of creativity and inspiration, encouraging mortals to think outside the box and embrace the unexpected.
These mirages are to some viewed as visions and blessings, with it being believed these visions are to help mortals to press past their wills to survive.
Tasrig is noticeably similar to Masuku of the World Smiths faith.
