Sembar

Sembar is the largest desert within the known world, located just to the south of the equator line it is a large region comprised of multiple sub biomes. It is mostly known for its sand and large absence of water making it a rarely settled location, yet people have such as the sleepless city of Oasis. In the eastern point lays the Salt Spires a location filled with salt pans and towering salt crystals resembling stalagmites. The surrounding sea is dangerous and causes many ships to crash. Just to the west of it lays the great Wrumen graveyard a region forming around and in the remains of these colossal worms as their bodies decay over the thousands of years. Within the skeletal remains are the hives of corpse collectors who build sheltered from the desert by sewing corpses together, although quite terrifying they are rather peaceful unless provoked or hungry. The middle of the desert is a mix of drought and flood lands where hardly anything grows beside the few strong rivers and shallow oases. The shoreline is plagued with year-round mist and a few forests of palm trees, creating some of the more settled regions of the desert. The western side of it is filled with a few tunnels and inns along the way as you cross the desert to reach the upper or lower countries.
