Amriga
Amriga is a region known for its natural beauty and rugged terrain. In the most northern point, we have the Merr island, an uninhabited land beside the few tribes that wonder its tundra planes year-round. The first tangible location within the continent is the Tear Peeks that tower over the northern reaches, which according to legend, were said to have been formed by the tears of
Creeh, who wept so heavily that her tears cascaded down the mountain and froze into a permanent layer of glistening snow.
Falling below and passing through the Tear Peeks is the Rowan Forest, which is named after the first Mirran who settled there due to his fascination with the Rowan trees. It is a cold pine forest with many settlements and is a source of durable timber. The forest is known for its high quantity of
Goblin tribes that claim the lives of many travellers. The forest is tightly bound with rolling hills covered in snow, and an impenetrable fog that diminishes light. It has a diverse ecosystem with goblins, bears, deer, and other animals calling it home. The arctic side of the forest remains in a winter state year-round while the southern half fluctuates with the changing seasons.
The forest is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers, who explore its winding trails and discover its hidden treasures. Whether one seeks the solace of the forest, or simply a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the Rowan Forest is a place of serenity and natural beauty, offering a glimpse into the raw majesty of the Tear Peaks.
Within the eastern heart of the land is the
Pachur Forah, which is a forest named by the Mirran and known as the paper forest. It sits mostly in
Sey but parts extend into
Enser. It was once a holy forest but is now primarily used for hunting, lumber, and arable land. The forest is characterized by tightly wound hills with fading light, paper-like trees, and moist air. It is home to animals such as horses, bears, and deer but few insects. The Pachur tree is a valuable resource for its fire-resistant wood.
The forest is alive with the sounds of animals, from the chatter of birds nesting in the treetops to the rustling of small mammals darting between the underbrush. The air is thick with the sweet scent of wildflowers and the earthy smell of damp soil. The tranquil streams and creeks that flow through the forest provide a refreshing respite from the summer heat, and during the winter months, the snow-covered landscape creates a stunning winter wonderland.
Just below the Pachur forah sits the
Lamented Peeks a mountain range that is a breathtaking destination that has been shaped by the movement of the world over thousands of years. It is constantly folding mountains and rugged terrain creates a unique and awe-inspiring sight. The valleys and ravines are home to crystal clear lakes, streams, and lush vegetation, as well as eerie echoes of sounds that can last for thousands of years. The area is also home to a diverse range of wildlife, including eagles, hawks, deer, elk, mountain lions, and wolves, making it a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers.
