Yadharqouk

Its name translates to "Jewel Market" in the local tongue of Donsel. It is one of the 11 provinces of the Sembar Desert.   It is known for its markets, where it sees a lot of nomadic tribes and foreigners, leading it to have quite a diverse arrangement of resources dedicated to others besides the locals. The fashion is also a huge mix of items, unlike other regions it merges both the nomadic and settled attires.

Territories

The province borders have changed over the years, but it typically had claimes on lands containing four distinct geographical terrains, the weeping dunes, the sleeping salt pans, and two canyons, the lush one where the capital is located against the coast and the crystal canyon which links to the dead sea.

Weeping Dunes

The weeping dunes were once said to be a colossal sandstone city that was destroyed when the witches of the wastelands were refused sacrificial offerings. The witches are said to of brought a sandstorm to fierce that it ripped the citadel into the dunes found today. Many travellers have died crossing these vast lands leaving many skeletal remains that remain beneath the sand to never be seen for centuries to come. There is a river that is only runs during flood season, in addition to there being a few oases spread throughout, although they are rather small most of the year besides flood season.

Sleeping Salt Pans

The sleeping salt pans are a rather barren landscape filled with remains of skeletal or lost objects from travellers. It gets its name for the whale skeletal remains that have a folklore tale of a whale that slept through the great flood and didn’t wake up as the land started to dry up.

Lush Canyon

The lush canyon holds a few lakes that collect the water from the river that passes through the dunes. However this region is fairly dangerous for all the creatures that fight over the water supply. The capital of the province is found here with it being highly defended, as well as filled with terrace farms that dam the water.

Crystal Canyon

The Crystal Canyon emerges where flood lines pull the salt from the saltpans into the dead sea. A lot of the dissolved salt collects on the canyon cliffs while moving downstream. It is a beautiful environment, with it being seen as a pilgrimage site for some of the nomadic tribes. But ultimately useless for much else.

Religion

There are three prominent faiths, two being legally permitted and a shunned cult faith.
The longest-running faith although a lot rarer in the contemporary era is the worship of the spirits of the world, which embody elements and aspects of life. There are an endless amount of spirits, typically having a connection with water, storms, wealth, harvest and safe passage are also fairly common, however there isn't a limit to the associations.
The nomads have a slightly different form of worshipping the spirits. Instead of the spirits being free they bound them to objects, the tribal leader, the Nuihuid, object of authority. Their faith seems to rely on making the spirits they captured feel appraised so when they call upon it's power it doesn't work against them. It's a faith that many scholars struggle to understand, as well as the faith being illegal within the province, but the law is hardly enforced.
Although not common in the province anymore, with its last operational temple being within the capital. It revolves around the worship of the sun under the name of Don. This faith is also heavily responsible for the witch hunts within the Sembar desert during the Reformation era.
