General
Selathi is the designation one may use towards those in Vael'Eteria who are — for all intents and purposes — immune to the workings of Death. They are also unsusceptible to the degrading touch of Time and are bestowed capabilities that usually concerns the manipulation of the Fabric of Reality.

Different rules apply
However, this does not exactly mean that Selathi cannot perish.
The rules are simply different for them than they are for Melathi and Nelathi. This is in large part due to the machniazations of their nature, most of which one can only guess at. The perishing of a Selathi is a major and incredibly rare event and has thus not been studied in great detail.

The Khore Zelha
The nature of all Selati concern that which has been named the Khore Zelha. It consists of the so-called core-essence and shell-essence, but is rarely spoken about as two seperate parts coalescing into one whole. It is only at the moment when
their Threads of Life are severed will the two will split apart.

The Khore
Their core-essence, known as the Khore, encompasses the abstract and primal nature of the Selathi and is essentially eternal. It is what dictates what they are capable of and their general outlook on things.

The Zelha
Their shell-essence, known as the Zelha, encompasses the memories, acquired skills, and subsequent personality of the Selathi. It also concern their physical tangibility; in other words, their body.

Death of the Zelha
When one generally speaks of a Selathi perishing, it is important to understand that it only concerns their Zelha; their Khore will continue on and reform in due time.
However, different portions of the Zelha may perish depending on which Selathi Species it concerns. Some may see it perish in entierty; takin with it not only their physical form but also their memories. Others will simply have their physical bodies desinigrate, leaveing their memories mostly intact.

Corpses of power
What happens to the corpses of a Selathi? At the moment when their Threads of Life are severed, the physical forms of all Selathi will dematerialize and reappear somewhere in the Grave Plains of Kanzertum.
This is an absolute rule and cannot be overruled, though it is rumored to be different for the Urh. (However, it only concerns Selathi Entities who are connected to Alézun'Teran, so the Dhatro are excluded from this rule.)
Why the connection between the Selathi and Kanzertum came to be is not known, even to the Firstborn it is said, however, though theorizes have been proposed. One of the most accepted touch upon the fact that Selathi corpses are very much crystallized power, and their very presence affects the Fabric of Reality in all manner of strange ways. Thus it was possibly deemed necessary to make it so that all that reality warping power was properly contained and prosessed.
The corpses of the Selathi appear similar to abstract statues made out of star-speckled crystallized power. They are only vaguely humanoid, with their faces being the most recognizable feature.

Connected to power
All Selathi are connected to power, and some would even go so far as to say that they are power, though this may only concern their true forms. This power may take on a tangible and noticable form, such as the Dhavi Force, while other instances are more ambigious and theoretical in nature.

Made from power
In contrast to Nelathi and Melathi, Selathi cannot be born. At least in a physical, biological sense. Instead, a majority are born from raw, primal power and energy. One way to see them is as shards of sapient power that are part of one whole.

Created Selathi
Selathi can also be created by other Selathi, though this is quite rare indeed. The Dhatro of Mésvéstell are most well-known for this, as they may allow their Divine Carriers to ascend and replace them as primordial elementals, a process that is said to be nigh-cataclysmic in even the best of circumstances.

Nelathi created by Selathi
It is far more common and easier for Selathi to create Nelathi, as is the case with the Faceless Constants — such as the Dark Hatters — and the Adhver.
