With annual competitions canceled due to the attack and further competing deemed unsafe, Roo had to resort to extraordinary measures to ensure peace and appointed his replacement.

With the Competitions over, Stormcloud, Željka, Skralth and Parvoan were given temporary leadership over matters of civilian consequences while he himself took a host of Clawstoppers to confront the new Krowl leader and force them to surrender.   Alas, Roo's expedition found nothing. Where the Krowl's tribe used to be, now contained only abandoned dwellings with a couple of Wild dragons that took the former tribe's residence for themselves. Upon questioning, they claimed to have found the place already desolate.   Upon return, it took many hours to extract the truth of their tribe's new whereabouts from the captive prisoners, by which point Roo's strike force has found only fresh remains of an abandoned camp. It was clear that Krowl tribe resorted to nomadic lifestyle and guerrilla tactics, obfuscating their presence under the canopy of trees.
