Noxvale Concord

The Noxvale Concord is a collection of magic users, and offer their magical services on occasion (for the right price, that is).   Perhaps the most power hungry of all the guilds (which is truly significant), the Concord trains magic users and is always searching for new ways to keep the city in its debt. The use of their magic is responsible for much of the Volagvaros's construction, especially in the absence of the Dwarf population that once dwelled in the undercity.

Structure

The guild operations are overseen at the highest level by the Maven Supreme, Zekral Solzyr. Below him are the three High Mavens. Just below them are the Lore Keepers and Envoys, followed (in order) by the Concordants, Lower Arcanists and Learners.   The Lore Keepers handle delicate affairs regarding the spread of information and the power shift of guilds. Envoys act as the guild's bullies, striking other guilds when they become too powerful.   Lore Keeper:

Culture

The Noxvale Concord believe that the use of magic should be taken advantage of in full. This often puts them at odds with the Thornhart Assembly, who believe that the use of magic should be limited and deliberate. The Concord members are often younger and are generally eager to take action.   Many sorcerers and warlocks flock to the organization.

Public Agenda

While aggressive in their power grabs, the guild is an essential part of the city (and by design). Zekral Solzyr has ensured that the Concord remain intertwined in the prosperity of Volagvaros.

History

Formed in 897 by Zekral Solzyr, the organization had a slow start. What was expected to be a prosperous union between many guilds at first turned out to be less than ideal for the Noxvale Concord. It wasn't until the cost of comfortable living in the city of Volagvaros forced the majority of Dwarven Architects out that the Concord truly began to thrive. They took advantage of this sudden lack of a labor force, using magic to fill the construction void left by the dwarves.   The Concord began to expand its services to whatever uses they could find for their powerful arcanists. This persisted through the expansion of the city. Today, Solzyr remains the only original guild leader still alive and in charge of his organization. However, this delicate balance of the guilds could soon be thrown off, as he has fallen ill in his old age.

The Noxvale Concord is the antithesis of the Covenant. They dislike their interference and have been pushing to become the most powerful guild for years. They use magic as a means to an end, and their methods are seen as irresponsible by the Thornhart Assembly, putting them at odds. The Concord are one of the guilds involved in the search for the rumored Kyrimhearthe.

The Noxvale Concord has often tried to keep the balance between the guilds through subterfuge and intervention in guild affairs. They will intercept documents, informants, or do whatever they deem necessary to keep the guilds in check. Peace in Volagvaros benefits them more than most.
The guild occasionally raids Thornhart research operations, stealing their findings for personal gain.
