The Ki Shaar

The Ki Shaar were once a shadowy organization that operated out of the mountains of Merriby East. Ruled by Sojiro Kenshin for a time, the Ki Shaar is an order of samurai knights who are trained to follow a code of honor. Sojiro's larger purpose was unknown until recently when The Outcasts thwarted his plan to complete an ancient ritual. This ritual would empower him to a great degree. The ritual was successfully stopped by The Outcasts, who discovered that Sojiro had been working with Halis Reincarnate .
After his death, the Ki Shaar exiled Alistair Kenshin and the outcasts, falling to the hands of Zora. He was hellbent on avenging Sojiro. This eventually led to his downfall, when Alistair killed him in a final duel.   After the defeat of Halis, Alistair restored the Ki Shaar to their roots. He reverted to the code of honor that the Ki Shaar were founded on and built a formidable fighting force from the ground up. Today, the Ki Shaar are being rebuilt by Alistair. He travels the world in search of lost souls in need of guidance, just as he once was.

Excerpt from Bladebrew's Research on Merriby East: The Ki-Shaar- Little is known about this shadowy organization that resides deep in the mountains of the mainland. The Ki-Shaar practice the way of the blade and live by a code of honor established long before the Empire existed. Today, they are feared. We found ourselves walking through a village while on the island, and in asking the locals of the Ki Shaar, they are refused to speak and asked us to leave. What little I was able to gather on them is this: They are looking for something. Something powerful and rare. The people of Merriby East fear them and dare not cross them. My scouts and I only got close enough to the temple (they call it the Truant). We could see a man mediating high above us on a ledge, but we turned and left. The place had an aura of darkness that made me and my men uncomfortable. Though the island had similar auras elsewhere that we did end up exploring, this one we did not.
