The Naturalists

Dedicated to the protection of lands beyond the city and the safety of living environments within, the Naturalists are the youngest of the guilds. The Naturalists came about in 1165, when the fields north of Volagvoros went fallow. They had seen enough damage done to the natural world and knew that action needed to be taken against guilds that harmed the wild. They despise nearly every guild for their corruption of the Elven Glade. They have a peace pact with the Thornhart Assembly and the Philosophers.

Structure

The Naturalists are led by Zara, a druid who has led the guild since its conception. Below her in ranking are the Wild Crusaders and the Tokens of Regrowth. The Crusaders are direct in their methods, and often use force to protect nature. The Tokens are less conspicuous and more likely to negotiate. Below them are the Sages, then the Pack Members and finally the Greenhorns.

Culture

The Naturalists have a mixed perception. To some, especially those outside the city of Volagvaros, they are looked upon as saviors. The guilds have forced many out of their homes and off of sacred land, and the Naturalists are working to reclaim it. To others however, the Naturalists are a nuisance, standing in the way of progress.

History

Formed by Zara after the guild conquest of land had pushed far west, the Naturalists hail from all over Western Costrana. While they hold some presence within Volagvaros, they are mostly spread throughout various natural environments beyond the city.
