The Northlands
The Northlands encompass a wide range of heavily forested, harsh terrain in the North West of Costrana. Much of the land was once inhabited by the Aket people. The Northlands was also home to much of the ancient war between the gods and mortals of the land. Today, it hosts a few settlements and many unexplored ruins.
Geography
The Northlands are rockier, with vast pine forests throughout. There are larger mountains to the North, with the Northlands containing the highest peak in Costrana.
Localized Phenomena
The Northlands are colder in comparison to the neighboring regions. Much of the area gets heavy snow in the winter, with the northernmost section seeing snow all year long.
The Northlands contains a vast array of ruins. All revenants of the Blightslayers, these once thriving cities were destroyed by the might of the gods when the Blightslayers fell under the influence of Yvyr and began to create weaponry capable of harming divine powers.
