136472 Makemake is a dwarf planet located in the Kuiper Belt. It is named for the ancient Human god Makemake, a deity of fertility. Makemake hosts a minor orbital of the Sol Habitat Complex, which conducts mining operations throughout the Kuiper Belt to extract minerals and ice. Notably, the Makemake orbital is the furthest artificial structure from Sol in the system, and located beyond the furthest hyperlane entry points.
