S18: Night ambush

General Summary

• The party sets up tiny hut and starts resting at the outskirts of Wizards of Wine marking the end of day 5.
• During the night Ains keeping watch is distracted by something and goes to check. He finds out Strahd , riding his nightmare mount, sending his minions to disrupt the sleep of the party, combat begins.
• Ains makes his retreat, but Alastor jumps in the fight and is brought down and captured.
• The still living members of the party retreats as Strahd also vanishes, leaving behind few of the remaining minions.
• Minions are banished with the help of a convenient entry of a wild barbarian, wagon and horses are saved, leaving Alastor as the only loss.
• Party collapses back to sleep as the barbarian Norbert keeps watch.
