Natives of Punanga

The natives on Hot Rock Islands call their land Punanga, meaning refuge in their strange tongue. There are two main races of natives on the island chain one is the oddly silent Ghostwise Halflings that are far more savage than their Lightfoot or Stout cousins and the Lizardfolk who are actually more civilized than found elsewhere. Though the Halflings are more savage than their cousins they are still far easier to work with than the Lizardfolk and seem eager to please as long as we provide them with copper, iron, and other cheap metals. Still a naturally cruel race despite their "advanced" culture the Lizardfolk only respond to violence and displays of power. We have begun to build on the largest island without a volcano, third largest of the chain. With the basically free labor of the Halflings, they do catch on quickly, construction is coming along smoothly even with the occasional attack by the Lizardfolk.
