Soul Reapers

Soul Reapers are psychopomps, celestial spirits that ferry the dead souls from the living world into the next. They take many forms from dogs to bright lights, to owls, to humanoids, and more. Usually, Soul Reapers bring the souls without trouble but when the soul fights back and defeats the Soul Reaper or some other outside force intervenes that is when ghosts and wraiths haunt us. There is much religious debate on Soul Reapers on if they a will of their own or only act according to the whims of Selksu but no one has actually thought to ask a Soul Reaper about it after they die and no one living has met one.
