Ninnehan Adavao

Overview

Ninnehan Adavao, also known as kiizon, was a cold, merciless, and frighteningly practical man with a lean frame and hair twisted up into a bun on top of his head, as was customary among members of the Ketsing's eternal court. Kiizon, clean-shaven and fastidious, placed a high value on his own personal appearance, the appearances of those around him, and his living quarters, which were decked with beautiful and expensive porcelain pieces and ornate textile rugs from as far as Anosfae. He went to tremendous lengths, including murdering members of his own court, to preserve the survival of the Ilsairi Ketsing while also maintaining and expanding his own personal authority and influence.

Early Life

Ninnehan Adavao was born in 771; Kiizon's early life is largely unknown, save for the fact that he and his brother Igarro were raised in abject poverty and were presumably orphans. However, Igarro, the younger sibling, recalls that their parents told them Kiizon was always stupid, which Igarro constantly brought up to make fun of and correct Kiizon. This is in spite of the fact that Kiizon was the older male sibling, which would traditionally command respect. Despite the weight of his parents' cruel words and the mockery of his younger brother, Kiizon carried on with quiet determination, his spirit unbroken. With each passing day, he sought solace in the whispers of the wind and the gentle embrace of nature. Here, he would train himself in ways to defend himself, especially using his innate ability with fire. In the solitude of the forest, Kiizon delved deep into the mysteries of fire, honing his innate talent with a fervor born of necessity. Yet, as his power grew, so too did the shadows within him, twisting his once gentle heart into a vessel of cruelty and malice. With reckless abandon, he tested his newfound abilities on the unsuspecting creatures of the woods, their anguished cries echoing through the silent night as Kiizon's descent into darkness continued unabated.    In the unforgiving landscape of their village, where hope was as rare as a summer breeze, Kiizon and his brother, Igarro, navigated the treacherous currents of poverty with resilience and determination. Desperate to fend off the gnawing hunger that plagued them, Kiizon sought out odd jobs, his hands calloused from toil as he labored in the fields and the bustling markets alike. Yet, despite his tireless efforts, the pitiless grip of destitution refused to loosen its hold. With each passing day, the whispers of desperation grew louder, driving Kiizon to the brink of despair. In a moment of desperation, he turned to the shadows that lurked at the fringes of society, embracing the life of a bandit—a path fraught with danger and moral ambiguity. With Igarro by his side, they roamed the countryside, their faces obscured by the veil of night as they preyed upon unsuspecting travelers, their hands stained with the blood of their ill-gotten gains. Though the weight of guilt bore heavy upon Kiizon's soul, the promise of sustenance and survival drove him ever deeper into the darkness, a journey with no end in sight.   As the moon cast its silvery glow upon the land, fate wove a tapestry of treachery and betrayal that would forever alter the course of Kiizon and Igarro's lives. It was on one fateful night that Igarro, consumed by desperation and driven to madness by the relentless specter of poverty, committed an act that would seal their fate. With reckless abandon, he set upon a noble traveler, his blade gleaming in the moonlight as he sought to claim the man's wealth as his own. Yet, as the deed was done and the echoes of the struggle faded into the night, Igarro found himself a fugitive, pursued by the relentless pursuit of justice. Under the cloak of darkness, amidst the whispers of the night, Kiizon faced a harrowing choice that would define the course of his existence. As his brother, Igarro, fled into the shadows, pursued by the specter of his own misdeeds, Kiizon stood at the crossroads of loyalty and survival. With a heavy heart and a trembling hand, he made a decision that would echo throughout his life: a decision to betray the bonds of kinship in exchange for favor in the eyes of a nobleman wronged by Igarro's hand. In the cold embrace of dawn, as Igarro was led away to face the consequences of his actions, Kiizon found himself torn between the hollow promise of a better future and the weight of guilt that threatened to consume him whole. In that moment, amidst the tumult of conflicting emotions, Kiizon became a stranger to himself, a man divided by the cruel whims of fate and the relentless pursuit of survival in a world where even the bonds of blood were not sacred.
