Common Dress code

Vielans' are both ashamed of their cursed forms and prideful of their culture. In Duvaci every part of a Vielan's body must be covered, or risk public and capital punishment. These masks range in decoration and serve as easy tells for a person's magical ability and their place in society. Those with no ability to cast wear pain masks, while the most powerful mages' masks are overtly extravagant. It is also common to dictate what an individual's magic alignment is through a variety of symbols. Straight lines, often lining the eyes or coming down the forehead, indicate a lawful user. Curves accenting facial features represent neutral magic. Chaotic magic users' masks are covered in jagged patterns.
