General Summary

1489 DR - Autumn - 30, Nightal (12) - White Plume Mountain

• The Chosen confront the bottom of the Ziggurat to discover the final piece, but find instead an imprisoned halfling, who seems quite mad.  they attempt to negotiate with him for release in exchange for help but his demands seem unreasonable.
• After negotiations break down the group is attacked, the halfling revealed as an oni in disguise guarding the last artifact, Blackrazor!
• The fight is heated, indeed the party even sets the tapestries about the room on FIRE!  
• Eventually they prevail after further exhausting their resources and decide to leave now that they have what they came for, rushing to the exit, only to discover that the exit is blocked by the wall of force they entered through!
• The wizard Keraptis again speaks in their mind, saying that they are not allowed to leave and will become his new guards once indoctrinated.  His minions enter the dungeon to capture them, two elder Efreet!
• Among the flames of walls, illusions, fire elemental summonings and desperate leaps through walls of fire, the party is barely able to overcome the two Efreet, barely escaping with their lives as the wizard cackles in their minds.
• They summon Abigor, and are retrieved, but something seems to be distracting him, as if he is losing some kind of internal battle against demons of his own...
