Highking
Holy leader of Mirthae, he/she shall lead the world and ensure it prospers.
Qualifications
To become Highking, one must be devoted to studying politics, economics, history, and geography.
Requirements
The potential Highking (PHK) must be at least 30 years of age, and the child, relative, spouse of the previous Highking or Highqueen. Humans are often favoured due to nobility influence.
Appointment
The potential Highking is to meet with the Royal Advisor, the Queens, and Lords/Ladies. There the PHK will read out his promises, his goals, and policies to them all. The Royal Advisor will then place an amulet and the crown on him/her. If the ball of light emitted by the crown glows a bright yellow, they are accepted as Highking and welcomed into his court with a fanciful feast. If it turns black, they are killed. How so and when is unspecified.
Responsibilities
The Highking's duties is to make new laws, remove, or change them as he see fit for the benefit of the world. They also must make sure the Queens are ruling their countries properly. They also act as commander in chief.
Benefits
The Highking has ultimate authority, being above the law. He or she also is blessed by Lady Merthicz herself, ensuring a prosperous rule as long as they follow her advice. If human, and if they're favourable to Merthicz, then their life expectancy will rise to about 250 years, how it was before the Ivierae-Human war.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The Highking is given a crown and amulet to wear. The crown itself emits a ball of light that reflects the state of being the Highking is in, meant as a security measure. If it's yellow, then the Highking is in good standing physically and mentally, navy blue means they are under the influence of another person, red means they are in critical physical condition and could potentially die if not treated, and black indicates they're in a mental state that affects their ability to work.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The Highking can only be removed from his position by Merthicz. It doesn't matter if literally every single person on the planet hated their guts, only Merthicz can decide if that person stays Highking or not. If Merthicz wants a particular ruler to stay in charge, she will ensure that ruler is protected using her godly powers of fate.

The Great Ivierae-Human war, spread of pro-ivierae propaganda, war against the Laterrtis kingdom and the Ukorsi kingdom, and the Vampire war were all started by the Highking.
