Forest of Howel
As the name suggests, the Forest of Howel is the home of the nature goddess, Howel. It is said that she still walks the forest floors to this very day, taking care of the plants and animals there. Many have traveled within the forest to find her, though very few have claimed to have done so, and those who have, say that she is distant, as though only partly here, and the rest of her is somewhere else, far away.
The forest is also home to many magical creatures. Whereas most creatures do not live freely in the outside world, the Forest of Howel truly reminds you that the world is a magical place. Minotaurs, centaurs, pixies, fairies, the mushroom folk, and nymphs are but a few of the creatures that can be found within the shade of the trees. They have their own advanced civilizations there, and their own governing bodies. This is something that outisiders would do well to remember, for trespassers could sometimes be tried under their unique laws.
Those who wish to be more in touch with magic often find themselves wandering the forest, and some of them are never seeen again. The trees are dense and old, and the ground is dark with shadow. Enter at your own risk.
