Passover (pass-over)
Home of the Seekers, and wanderers alike.
Passover earned its name due to its central location among the main trading routes to and from the capital. Many people pass through Passover every year, but few ever stay for more than a few days. The townsfolk who live there rely heavily on the selling of their wares and services to those passing through, and as such there tend to be more interesting shops selling trinkets and magics than in a more "stable" town.
Due to their close proximity with the Forest of Howel, Passover is more closely connected with magic than most other towns in the country. Most of the inhabitants are eiher worshipers of Howel or Gentry; it is very rare to see any followers of Ravage in the area.
Because of this closeness to magic, the countries mages guild, The Seekers, has their headquarters there on the outskirs of town, nestled at the base of the Dragons Back Mountains. Anyone whose goal it is to become a great mage wishes to one day study in the tower of the Seekers, and as such Passover is also a hub of aspiring magic users, though most of them are ultimately turned away, or set towards the sister tower in Fukineet.
Most of the politics in Passover are controlled by the Seekers, though the town mayor, Sir Gilfron, technically has final say on all political decisions, and reports directly to the high king. Some believe that Gilfron is merely a puppet of the Seekers, or is paid off to ally with their decisions, though no proof has ever been brought forth supporting these theories.
