Varden

Varden is a city built into the trees that give the Sprucethorn Forests their name - trunks as wide around as a storm giant, with branches that stretch higher than even the tallest of the Crystal Spires. It acts as the capital for the wood elf and firbolg peoples that make the Forests their home

Grove of the Guardian

The center of Varden is dominated by a verdant druid grove, maintained by the Song of Seasons. They are a circle of druids dedicated to Idia and to preserving Mistral, and use the Grove as a base of operations and an example of the beauty that can be found amongst nature.

Demographics

The majority of the population of Varden are wood elves, with many firbolgs mixed amongst them. There are also plenty of half-elves and half-orcs, as well as a small percentage of races from other parts of Mistral who settle in the Sprucethorn Forests in search of a quieter life.

Government

There is no official government in the Sprucethorn Forests. However, the people there are skilled hunters and trackers, so disobeying their unwritten rules often still comes with consequences.
