Hanging Tree

This huge, grim, ancient oak is located on a small hill that dominates the road to Sarkum Castle. It is often adorned with the bodies of hanged criminals.

During Ezar's War the Agrikian used this tree to deal with dissidents and keep the peasants under control. More recently, the barony's Bailiff and some of the local lords have started the practice of hanging bandits and wreakers.
