Monolith of Oniek

The Monolith of Oniek, an ancient 7ft wide, 15ft high stone that protrudes from a verdant marsh. The Monolith has a crude maze carved on its northern facing, and its immediate area is a magical Fyvria Sanctum. This enhances magic associated with life forces and growth, and nature.

Over three thousand years, the People of the Dusk used this sanctum as a holy site, and much later, the Wizards of the Eldritch Period are believed to have used it to boost their magical abilities. More recently, it was lost, overrun by the Leonese Marshes. Recent earth movement over the last three decades has exposed it. Herbalists from the nearby village of Oniek rediscovered the Monolith and noted that their rare Herbs grew in abundance around it. Occasionally its magic flares, and it influences the growth of nearby animals and vermin.

Properties of the Fyvria Sanctum.

A spellcaster may attune to the Monolith. Any spells related to growth or nature will be enhanced. The duration and effect of the spell are increased by 50%. The time to research spells or create magic items related to growth or nature will be reduced by 25%.

Other class-specific benefits are available if a spellcaster makes a DC 20 Arcana Check or DC20 Nature check if a divine caster.

Wizards

A wizard learns the Enlarge/Reduce spell, and as long as they stay attuned to the Monolith, they have that spell permanently prepared. This is in addition to any other class level prepared spells.

Sorcerers, Priest of Siems, Rangers, or Druids

These characters gain the Enlarge/Reduce spell and as long as they stay attuned will to the Monument. This is in addition to any other class level known or prepared spells.
