Pamesani Games

The Pamesani Games are held on the days of the new and full moon, run by the Agrikan Orders of the Octagonal Pit and the Demon Pameshlu the Insatiable.

The games typically include contests between gladiators (individually and in teams), combats involving wild beasts, judicial or personal duels, athletic competitions, state-sponsored punishments, and executions. Some of the games can be quite perverse.

The games are popular in the Kingdom of Rethem and the Thardic Republic and outlawed in the Kingdoms of Chybisa, Kaldor, Kanday, and Melderyn.

The Order of the Octagonal Pit

The Order of the Demon Pameshlu the Insatiable

This fighting order acts as guards, gladiators, and beast-masters and slave-masters.

Events

Typically a day’s events begin with a short religious ceremony dedicating the blood about to be spilled to Agrik and his lieutenant, the demon Pameshlu. This is followed by a series of athletic contests, tortures, executions then combat. It is sometimes difficult to determine in which category a particular event falls. Between events are often more general entertainment such as low-quality clowns and pantomimes.
