Session 321 - Shipwreck
General Summary
Autumn 726TR
The Story So Far
The King is dead.
King Minigath, after ruling the Kingdom of Kaldor well for thirty-three years, has died and the power struggle as to who will succeed him has commenced. Meanwhile, in the background, the nefarious Esoterical Order of Lothrim is up to no good.
To combat the machinations of the Order of Lothrim, the heroes have been directed to the wreck of the Honeybadger, an armed merchant ship lost at sea six months ago. On the wreak, they are told that may be the remains of a wizard and his valuable arcane possessions; specifically, a Rod of Negation will greatly assist them in the upcoming conflicts.
While trying to recover goods from the wreck, local fishermen have reported seeing a large dragon-like beast flying over the rocks.
This is the continuation of Session 320 - The Doctor's Visitation.
Location - West of the Gulf of Módan between the Kingdoms of Melderyn and Emélrenè.

Part 1 - The Honeybadger
Local fishermen drop the heroes off on a small rocky island in the Gulf of Módan, and they spot the shipwreck. It has split in two, one half smashed in the rocks below and the other half submerged in a small bay. Carefully approaching the wreckage, they notice something large swimming in the water. Uncertain, they sneak towards it, but they are spotted by a trio of serpentine creatures with human-like heads. The attacking Spirit Nagas are adept with magic, creating illusionary duplicates of themselves and utilizing life-draining magics. They also attempted to Disarm Rycon telekinetically and were very nearly successful. Even worse, their venomous fangs befuddle their victims, making them more vulnerable to any follow-up psionic spell attacks.
The Nagas are eventually killed; however, Valeria uses much of her magical resources in the process.
Part 2 - Looting the Wreak
Searching the characters find some loot, but the wreck is remarkably free of valuables. Using Detect Magic, they spot a skeletal corpse deep in the mire whose cloak radiates potent magic, as does the nearby Rod of Negation. Only half a dozen annoying and aggressive giant crabs slow the treasure retrieval, but the Tantriog are quickly dispatched. The party also salvages several ballistas in good condition from the wreck and lugs them up the hill.
Part 3 - The False Dragon
As the heroes wait for their ship to return to pick them up, they spot something looming in the sky: a Dragon! A closer inspection reveals something different, a little smaller than a dragon with an oversized frilled head and long beak. Along its wing is a long, bony blade; it is a rare Ivashu called an Eunlann, also known as a Razorwing or, more often, the False Dragon. The Razorwing is a fearsome opponent, nearly killing Rycon as it swoops in, slashing with its wing blades. The knight deafly moves underneath it and slices with his katana, cutting deep into one of the Ivashu's wing muscles. Screaming in pain, the False Dragon is forced to land. It lashes out, crushing Rycon in the vice-like grip of its beak; however, outnumbered, surrounded, and grounded, it is slaughtered.
