Fount Resonance Scanning

An expensive way to scan parts of a body without the need of a fount mage. The method was invented by the famous Fount mage Taeras Shartin in the year 142 4E. Although it is much more accesible than other Fount scanning methods, it's very expensive and sometimes dangerous to the person it's performend on.

Method

F.R.S. Scanners come in different sizes. Some are as large as a human body while others are sized for arms, legs, or heads. For the method itself, a subject is laid down onto a special table, after which a lens is positioned above whatever needs to be scanned. Later iterations have a sort of tube that a person can be slit into. A Well-Crystals with the right runes will be needed. It is placed into the machine and the machine will start sending fount energy through the lens and through the body of the subject. Underneath the table, the subject Is laying, are layers of paper. These have a specific thickness so that special types of fount energy will burn into the paper slightly. Some of these energies will get stuck while traveling through the body, meaning that you can make pictures out of organs. With this, you can spot things like tumors and can, if calibrated correctly, even scan brainwaves to some extend. It is, however, sometimes quite dangerous. You are essentially sending uncontrolled Fount energy straight through someones body. This could kill someone if they're not strong enough, and could if not done correctly, damage tissue. It is also a lot more expensive than a normal Fount scan.
