Funkys

If you walk your way into a tavern by The Halberd late at night and hear drums banging with the voice of an even louder woman overshadowing them you would look in and see Funkys the gnome behind the sound. Usually dressed for a performance during all hours of the day, Funkys rolls with her style consisting of faded pink hair to go with a sleeveless shirt and probably ripped jeans. However, her outfit seems modest compared to her brash often offensive personality, driven by a perfectionist attitude that can never seem to be satisfied. It is that same mentality that brought her to Mythrite in the first place. Having been playing the drums for nearly two centuries now, Funkys puts all her energy into putting on the best show she can for her audience, but she gets bored staying in one place for too long. Seeking the next challenge or the next gig, this combined with her tendency to push most people away with her personality after not too long, led her toward the life of a drifter. While most people she works with seem to loathe her, she has a few friends like some of the tavern owners who she plays at and some of the bands she plays for, but with her family long dead she prefers to stay on her own. She doesn’t know how long she will stay in Mythrite, as a boomtown there’s certainly enough growth to keep her excited and stay here, plus as she gets older she starts to think more about finally settling down. Drumming is Funkys's passion, her parents were musicians (dad was the trombone, mom was the trumpet), and she is very good at the drums but it was not her first instrument, as she also knows how to play both of her parents instruments and general percussion. She loves the drums though and has rarely played anything else for a long time. The issues in Mythrite don’t really matter too much to Funkys, as a drifter they have seen so much that the issues in one town don’t move the needle. She’s not scared of the monster threat and believes that the police presence as it currently is not too much of an issue, because she likes being free to do whatever she wants. She harbors some outdated views of some of the other races, particularly humans and elves who she believes, believe themselves to be above others.
