Kavrimi Emberdream
Ex-Flame Kavrimi was one of the humans who ushered in, five months after the news of Mythrite took off. Her husband, Ernst Emberdream, wanted to open a new door in life, an adventurous door that he could not find while living in Baldur's Gate. Not wanting him to get into any further trouble, she would don her helmet and trusty halberd once more to keep her husband safe, along with the inhabitants of Mythrite.
One dusty day, at the wrong time: that was all it took. Some of the town guards had seceded to the caravan guards not a few days ago. They had called for extra backup from their fellow friends while in the town guards. While under-staffed, the remaining town guards had faced a colossal monster assault. The town had been decimated, along with the population. Among them was Ernst, who Kavrimi could not protect alone.
Kavrimi picked up on town guard duties, out of morality. She had always been able to fend for herself when needed. She despises the caravan guard and their priorities, when honest people trying to work to prosperity had suffered at their expense. Unmanned guards meant unmanned families and heartbreak for more than just herself. On the other hand, she also holds the town guard to a standard that not everyone can achieve.
When Mythrite's time is up, if she's still alive, Kavrimi may return to Baldur's Gate and try to reform her life without her husband. Or, perhaps she might travel somewhere else to search for her new meaning. But, until then, she had her job: keep Mythrite safe.
