Eronia

Eronia and Eronia Minor are the second-most populated settlement within the residential area, and the majority of the people living here are humans. So named after the second layer of Elysium, it was the first place where the settlement began. It is the highest point of the residential area and offers good views of the mountains to the east and the rest of the camp to the west and southwest. Building began to take advantage of these view despite it requiring additional labor to bring materials up the hill, and so others began building much more makeshift housing in the flatter land at the bottom of the hill, now known as The Halberd. The hilltop could not handle the influx of newcomers and new construction spread southward down the hillside to the south.   As the summer months went on, it became increasingly common for incoming middle-class Merchants, Professionals, and better-off Guild service providers to make offers on homes built higher up the hill rather than taking up residence in The Halberd. As such, the quality of the homes generally increases as the hill rises, leading some to derisively refer to it as "little Charlamaine" and the base of the hill as Eronia Minor, though the latter name is now commonly used, often just as "the Minor." It's generally agreed that the quality of homes and dense population of the Minor more closely resembles the Halberd than the hilltop, with the main thing distinguishing the two areas being a broad boulevard.   Eronia possesses a kind of middle-class civility and sensibility, complete with dinner parties and discussions of politics, economics, and philosophies, whereas the Minor is characterized more by folk music and dance and spontaneous block parties. Little outward bitterness is shown between the two, though "moving uphill" is now a phrase used as shorthand to indicate an attempt to rise in station, sometimes scornfully.
