Noravat Blunthammer
Noravat Blunthammer liked his job as a Miner, even if his parents did kick him out of the house when he was 15. His entire family had worked as miners and when he heard about a wilderness boomtown called Mythrite he knew he had to go. He was determined to make his ancestors proud, so he worked very hard and dug up twice as much ore as the other miners near him almost every day. He likes mining so much that he works more than he's supposed to so that he might get a promotion or more pay. But no matter how much work he does he never seems to get paid more or get a promotion. Sometimes if he steps out of line for even a second he will actually get paid less.
His human overseer seemed to hate his species and when a human or an elf commits the same offense as a dwarf, the dwarf will get the harsher punishment. His overseer viewed dwarves as lesser than humans and elves and exploited them for their work. Noravat’s goal in life was to eventually climb the ranks enough so that he could prevent future oppression towards his people. And to do that, he needed to do what the higher-ranked miners did on a daily basis, oftentimes getting himself in trouble, for example, reduced pay and intense supervision so he doesn’t do it again until he gets the promotion. Moving on from that, he has a very small house near the mine so that he can get to the mine faster. His neighbors all live in houses the same size as his, which is each house at 110 sq feet with a communal bathroom that they all share. While Noravat mines during the week he fishes with his mine friends on the weekend.
