The Boathouse

The Boathouse, never given on official name, is situated in the Fishery and Eelery District near the edge of the Grayflow River. Like any boathouse, it is primarily used for storing boats for various people who go fishing or eeling frequently. Despite it being one of Mythrite’s newest overall buildings, its also not very well taken care of, as it is not owned by anyone or any organization, but rather a community and group of volunteers. It was originally built due to the few frequent fishers and eelers demand, and when their pleas went unanswered due to disinterest, it became a community-built project.
At first, only frequent visitors used the boathouse, but as word got around, the boathouse began to expand more in usage, though it still remains one of Mythrite’s least used commodities. For some fishers and eelers, it has become more than just storage for boats, as other equipment, such as rods and bait, have been known to have been stored there. This is a risky move, however, as due to its unprotected nature, the boathouse has been known to be the epicenter of thievery. Because of this, some regulars have made efforts to increase security. A couple regulars have moved closer to the Fishery, maintaining a close eye on it. There are also several who make their living off of fishing and eeling who have expressed a desire to expand the boathouse to have some residential areas.
The Boathouse is one of the smelliest places in all of Mythrite.
