Hateno
Demographics
Hateno has a mainly Hylian population.
Infrastructure
Hateno is the food production capital of Hyrule. It's located near the center of Hyrule Field, which serves as the "bread bowl" of Hyrule. The city's suburbs are centered around food production plants and there are many commercial farms around the city.
Like all major Hyrulean cities, Hateno has a fairly robust system of public transport consisting of buses, above-ground trolleys, and subway-style underground trains. The city also utilizes the Rebonae River to ship goods either upstream to Hyrule Castle City or downstream to the Lake Hylia region.

History
Hateno was originally a small farming village, but when the Calamity struck, it was one of the only Hylian settlements on Hyrule Field to be spared. In the intervening century, Hateno became a primary settlement in the shattered nation, and once Hyrule was reunified, Hateno maintained its new elevated status. These days, it is a smaller city than the capital and Rolling City, but it remains a core part of the Hyrulean economy.
