Demographics
Castle City is the most diverse major city in Hyrule, with significant Hylian, Zora, Goron, Rito, and Gerudo populations. Some of these species and races live in boroughs or communities where their culture is more prominent, but the city is known for its integrated way of life.
Government
The city is the home of the Royal Family of Hyrule, which governs the entire nation, but the city itself is more specifically governed by an elected mayor and city council. This system establishes ordinances and laws specific to Castle City.
Infrastructure
Hyrule Castle City is a symbol of both Hyrule's history and its future. In the business district, towering sky-scrapers rise fifty stories high, and in Old Castle Town, gorgeous stone buildings in the style of the first century MH can still be found. The city is home to a number of parks as a result of the Green City Act of 482.
History
Hyrule Castle City, formerly Hyrule Castle Town, is Hyrule's ancient center of commerce and government. Starting as a rudimentary village established by the clan that became the Royal Family of Hyrule, it continued in its course for thousands of years before the Calamity struck. After Queen Zelda I was crowned monarch, her mission of progress pushed the capital forward in ways it had never imagined. Over the past five hundred years, it has developed into a thriving metropolis and the largest city in the country.
Architecture
In the Old Castle Town, Hyrule Castle itself defines the architecture. Notable examples of the older style used are Hyrule Castle Town College and the House of Parliament.
In other parts of the city, architecture is the sleekest and most modern you can find, and the Castle City skyline is featured on hundreds of postcards and pieces of merchandise.
