The Veil

The Veil is the name given to the mysterious natural force that keeps the various different planes of existance apart from each other in Moirai. There is very little understood about the specifics of the Veil, as it is something that cannot be intereacted with or influenced directly. It can be influenced indirectly through the spellcasting and changes in both Aether and the Aethereal Plane. It also has been observed to be affected by things like phases of the moon, the depth of your location, available natural resources, abundandce or lack of sentient life nearby, and much more.


The Veil is understood to have different "thicknesses", which can remain consistant or even change at different times. In locations where The Veil is very thin, it is possible for beings to simply walk into a different plane of existance. A well known example from Sea Elves is of this happening at the bottom of the ocean, connecting to the Elemental Plane of Water. Its also been theorizedto happen high up in the sky with the Elemental Plane of Air. 
In locations where the Veil is very thick, its possible that even spells cannot allow one to travel to other planes of existance, though no such location has ever been confirmed, only theorized.
