Retired Colonel Braydon is a family friend of the D'arlingtons and was invited to the ceremony meant to wed Maximillian D'arlington to Lysandrea Isillonthe. He attended with his ward, Eliza Hope, and during a dance with Ilbryen asked if any of their company would be interested in wedding Eliza.
