Devoted Conclave of the Father Moon
"The moon is not overt. It does not worry or try to demand. It keeps to its path, but it always gently lights our way. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished. And thus so am I."The Devoted Conclave of the Father Moon refers to the followers, acolytes, and religious figures who believe in the teachings of Val'Lunus, the Father Moon. Their messiah is Iselle D'Autombre, known as the Cerulean Oracle, who was said to be capable of predicting the future and recalling long forgotten memories. In the past they were simply the people who followed her wisdom and guidance during the reign of the Keepers Arcane. In those times they were simply disparate groups who shared stories and kept one another's hopes and spirits alive as they tried to undo the damage done by their malevolent rulers. In the present they are the most nomadic of the Four Denominations of the Holy Zygallic Church. Their members often travel the empire, restoring nature to its more tranquil state, providing for the wildlife and farm life, and ensuring that all disturbances to the natural order are quelled. Their main dominion resides in the nation of Cuprum, the southernmost kingdom in Verous, and the last kingdom to be liberated during the Feroxian Liberation Campaign. Despite being the last to be liberated, when the empire was founded, it was the Father Moon denomination that first joined fully with the Mother Sun. This union was symbolized in the marriage of Alaric Ron Zhen (The Verdant King) and Iselle D'Autombre. Since those days, they go by the teachings written in the Wisdom of the Oracle, known as the Sey Songs of the Argent Sea.Iselle of Autombre, advising Alaric of Zhen how she persevered for so long.
Culture
Most of the culture surrounding the Father Moon conclave is esoteric, but also vibrant. Lessons are imparted via songs, stories, or performances, meant to leave the onus on the querier to decide what this means. As such it tends to attract many philosophers, artists, and introspective types.
The balance of nature also tends to attract many who love animals or plants. Most of the Father Moon's followers study plants and animals as a way to understand how nature works, and in so doing, can advise others on how best to work with nature.
