Story Teller

(a.k.a. The Open Book)

"The world is a Great Wheel, spinning tales old and new. The one I am about to tell you, you may have heard, but I guarantee not like this -"
  • Story Teller before every story.
  • Story Teller, as he's known, is a congenial old man who came to Alloyus with the other Akachetan people. He was among the first to make contact with the Voyagers, and was able to set up a rapport between the two groups of people. Despite his affiliation with the Akacheta, Story Teller insists he is not a member of their clan. In spite of this they hold him with great reverence and respect, as do the colonists who come to know him.   His primary use will be as an expositor of information in this game. The party can meet with him to chat, but he's overall simply meant to give clues or information. He'll often begin a game by telling a story either about a Player Character or about their exploits. Sometimes he'll speak of something completely unrelated to the party.

    Personal history

Around 80 FE, the Akacheta traversed the Ghostlands with his help. Upon arriving in this new land they called Morado, they were attacked by the Ta'LeSharo and scattered. Story Teller stayed with a small group of people and kept them safe while they survived the rigors of this life. Despite this he was sad because he knew these people he'd traveled with would not survive another 100 years if the Ta'Lesharo kept their pace.   Eventually he bade the Akacheta to the west, and though he was captured by the Ta'LeSharo, the people escaped. Not a few weeks later did they return with the Voyagers as their allies, and rescued Story Teller.   After the Battle of Bastion he makes his living by travelling from place to place. He loves a good story and both the Akacheta and Verousians are full of them. He shares this gift by helping others with advise or telling stories to the people.
