Antonino Berruchi
King (a.k.a. "The King Who Cared")
Antonino Berruchi is the only child of Mariella Berruchi and Berengar Santarossa. Due to the circumstances around his birth Antonino was by technicality a bastard child until he was three months of age. It was always assumed that the title of King would pass to the child of Aldolfo, though he never fostered a son. After Aldolfo's death the crown passed down to Antonino.
Growing up Antonino spent more time learning the art of the sword from his father and other knights around Ravensroc. When he came of age Antonino could boast (and back up) the fact that he was one of the best bladehands in the realm. He has won many a tourney disguised as a common man by the name of "Ant". This guise, once figured out, quite endeared him to the populous. Antonino would go out of his way to improve quality of life within Ravensroc and Raventiva as a whole. During his reign in fact illiteracy dropped by 25%. It is due to this that Antonino is often referred to as "The King who Cared".
During his youth, and while disguised as "The Noble Ant, Sword of the People" Antonino met one Letizia Folliero. The two, over the course of the years, would develop an unbreakable friendship that would eventually boil over into love. It is during the period of which the two were married that the Rookery had often times been referred to as "The Palace of Love".
Antonio would die of natural causes at the age of 83, surrounded by his friends and loved ones, while holding the hand of his dear wife.
