The Twelve Beast of Guidance
Summary
Yueia had lost a lover to death. She even appealed to the Goddess of Death , but even the Goddess could not change Death's mind. So Yueia fled to a lake and cried. In her sadness, and loss of hope the moon turned dark.
Amid the darkness a wolf emerged with his pack to console the goddess. He taught her lessons of Loyalty and Unity. Next a crane came from the reeds. She taught the goddess lessons in Freedom and Joy. Next a moth landed on the goddess' forehead. She taught her lesson in Foresight and Faith. Then came a deer from the forest. He taught lessons in Empathy and Guidance. Next came a bear from a cave. He taught the goddess lessons in Strength and Courage. Then from among the rocks a tortoise came to the goddess. She taught lessons in Patience and Wisdom. Then came the tiger from the bushes. She taught the goddess lessons in Power and Honor.Next the ram approached the goddess, He taught lessons of Resilience and Integrity. Then from the sky came an eagle. She offered the goddess lessons in Leadership and Justice. Then the spider crawl up the the goddess. He taught the goddess lessons in Creativity and Knowledge. Then came the fox from her den. She taught lessons in Honesty and Cunning. Lastly the carp surfaced from the water. He taught lessons in Intuition and Awareness.
And with the end of these lessons the sun on the horizon. With her new found knowledge the moon was it once again. To thank the 12 beasts for their guidance and the goddess blessed them as a reward. They two become one with lunar magic and join Yueia on the moon to watch the night.
