Focus

A marble-sized glass ball imbued with powerful magic. It binds with the soul of the first Almiposa that touches it, allowing it to transform into a weapon related to the Almiposa's personality and strengths.

Utility

Foci are used as weapons, primarily against IMPs, since they are the only things that can kill them.
However, there is a strange side effect that the Almiposa using it might get an overwhelming urge to eat the IMP they're fighting, which can turn into flat-out addiction.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing process of Foci is shrouded in secrecy; the Kaleidoscope does not want anybody else to recreate these powerful weapons.

Access & Availability

Every Almiposa in the Great Kaleidoscope is given a Focus when they complete training. It's kind of a rite of passage in that society.
