Professor Fergus

Polar-opposite of his quiet and reflective colleague Professor Duncan, Professor Fergus is a stocky, fire-brand who represents the more aggressive side of arguing who relies on discrediting his opponent rather than providing meaningful input.

During Houndsmoth:

He's the other Rhetoric/Philosophy teacher who trades off with Professor Duncan, due to their differing teaching styles.

Professor Duncan prefers the study of philosophical discourse to reference it like scripture to construct the perfect argument. Professor Fergus prefers to deconstruct one's argument by discrediting his opponents' side.

Fergus' mindset represents the argumentative side of a debate that uses rational thought and cues from their opponents to cut through the contextual misinformation hidden in a scholastics' statistics and textbook knowledge to lay bear a faulting/misleading line of reasoning.  

Fergus is loud, passionate, antagonist & driven to win every argument. This differing approach puts him and Duncan at odds with one another on a constant basis.

Seeing as Silas Yamane has Rhetoric/Philosophy as his Occupational Course, Professor Fergus is also his counselor who gives him very opinionated advice about life and careers using the skills learned in his class.

In terms of the other eleven teachers, he's always the first to critique and speak. While being the very last to compromise.
