Professor Francesca

Master of all spoken and written languages, Professor Francesca teaches the Languages/Archaeology class while curating her collection of strange artifacts in an exclusive wing in the Manor and a more dangerous one hidden in the Loch Gaisgeil Pagoda.

During Houndsmoth:

In this course, Francesca teaches an in-depth mixture of history and linguistics wrapped together in archaeology.

In her curriculum, a student picks one culture and learns everything about it (their region, historical record, society, culture, how to fluently read/write/speak their language, etc.) while supporting their findings with primary sources and physical objects from the area in Francesca's "public" collection.

However, she reveals there's something wrong with the authenticity of her sources and the students have to support which of their sources are right or wrong. This course is for training archaeologists, paleontologists, anthropologists, linguists, interpreters, and treasure hunters.

Francesca's mindset represents the fickle nature of history. It's fluid and requires diligent stewardship not to color our history with 21st century context. But to objectively identify the most accurate version of history, verified with primary sources and artifacts.

Francesca holds an elitist mentality in her teaching. She always seems to know the right answer. But refuses to tell her students what's right or wrong, only what has been proven.

Obsessed with unusual artifacts, she keeps her curio of unusual artifacts locked away in an entire wing of the manor from the rest of the student body, except for her army of TAs (including Valencia Juarez).

In Season 1, Silas Yamane & Benjamin "Bengee" Livingston sneak into Francesca's wing to find a missing text. Running into Valencia, she reveals a second location of more dangerous objects where the text is located.

In Season 2, Francesca's wing is repurposed for additional dorm rooms with her curios being relocated to the Pagoda.
