Kukîradæ
Kukîradæ is the name given to the site of several massive stone and crystal columns which date back to the Battle with the Stone Menace. Originally part of a sprawling structure designed to capture the Stone Menace and later the launch pad where it was sent to orbit, now most of he platforms are buried under ice and snow, and what's left has been weathered by two thousand years of storms.
History
The standing pillars came first and originally contained the pod that would trap the Stone Menace. Later construction included systems to try to keep the thing trapped, and sites where the gases of stasis were changed, before a more stable blend was developed.
A rudimentary rocketry facility soon followed, from which the Stenza successfully developed an orbital craft capable of carrying the stasis pod into orbit, arguably the first use case of the strange material, then newly discovered, known as space dust. As study into space dust advanced, this became the premier site for testing it on the orbital craft sent out to check on the Artificial Moon, until interplanetary craft were developed.
Advances in stasis also continued, until long-term stable gas blends were in common use for various forms of imprisonment, and the orbital structure developed to a point where staff could monitor the creature continually with little need for ground-to-orbit travel.
The facility sat abandoned, but fond memories of its original purpose, no doubt perpetuated by Khe'drakha on the subject, led to it being declared a historic site.
Tourism
Kukîradæ is the site of some legend tripping among Wide Pass Stenza youth, as it is known as a place where curious Snow Pups might be seen exploring.

I bet stone and crystal columns capture the light beautifully sometimes. I like that Stenza youth go there for their legend tripping.

The photos would be awesome! Especially in summertime when Stenza actually have some daylight to work with. IDK there might be another urban legend coming in the future about this place (and those curious Snow Pups ;) ). It's gotta be one of my favorite cultural ideas that these ancient spirits are still lurking around making mischief and being noticed.
I do love the Snow Pups :)

They are so cute! My favorite of the spirits that inhabit this fictional world and its folklore.
