The Iron legion

A legion of hobgoblins living in a strict militaristic, caste based society similar to feudal japan.

Structure

Lead by the the Steel Emperor a Position won by a ritualistic combat in which a group of successors compete for rulership.

History

The iron legion is a mercenary band the size of a country. During the sidhe war, they fought with the elves exchanging blood for gold. However, when the elven empire's coffers dried up the alliance paid for their services a decision much objected to by the dwarves but driven by draconia's desire to see an end to the war.
To this day the hobgoblins will hire themselves out to anyone who pays and ships travelling to and from The Elrindel Alliance use them commonly to defend their ships from the pirates of Sceobar.
