Sceaferdism
The elves, whose culture is one of the oldest in the world, originally had a religion based on twelve gods called the Gods of Light, also known as the Deorum. In the Elezenlopaidea, the elves' most ancient, comprehensive tome regarding their history, it is recorded that Elondin of Sceaferd came before the Arborian court in [DATE] to bring the news of the 13th God of Light, Opokus, and the Mother Goddess the Gods of Light served: Cosmos.
The Elondin in order to record what Opokus had informed him was the Word of Cosmos.
Mythology & Lore
Although the Scaeferdist faith does include the events included in Deorism, it includes further details of the beginning of creation
Creation of the Universe
In the beginning the world was darkness, and darkness was nothing and all. Cosmos rested here, and all was peaceful but devoid of purpose. The Elder Goddess saw that the universe was devoid of purpose and grew sad for it. She lit the First Day Star, yet the light only showed emptiness as far as the light could reach. Cosmos then made others like her and allowed them free will: the first Fal'Cie. They were instructed to do with the universe as they saw fit. The universe became an endless space of beautiful vistas. As they filled the canvas of empty darkness with light andDivine Origins
The Deorum Faith, or Deorism, was the first recorded religion in Mundus, dating back to [DATE]. The elves were recorded as having traveled northward on orders of their 12 gods known as the Deorim.
Tenets of Faith
The laws of Elondinism are very simple:
1. Treat others as you would want yourself to be treated while we wait for the inevitable worldly death.
2. Give worship to the Mater Deorsa and the Deorim Thirteen. Pray they may find a cure to the world even after we have passed away.
