The Fynnes

The Fynnes were a gang founded in 1811. A rag-tag group of ex-soldiers that participated in the Globetrade War and folk brought to illicit trade out of desperation in New Bartzbringe City, most of the Fynnes were angry at the Ozmanian government for not paying them their dues. When the Feythart Prohibition began in the United States of Ozmania the organization attempted a coup de'tat against the Ozmanian government which failed. The Fynne were hunted down by the FIA, and enough of their members were either killed, incarcerated or went missing that the gang was officially disbanded on 1925. Many of the Protagonist Gang's members were originally members of the Fynnes gang, including Jack Calloway, Jen Coronara and Georg Umersh.

Structure

The Fynnes were fashioned after the merry Wildwood Bandits of old. As such other than the general rankings based on seniority, the Fynnes organized themselves by a loose ranking system composed of 6 ranks: Big Boss, Chief, Executive, Capo and Grunt. The rank for Big Boss was removed and replaced with the rank of Boss after the death of their founder Toddas Cósme, in conmemoration of his great achievements and as a means to conserve the respect they had for the founder as opposed to all those leaders who follow after.

Xavieur Rosse based the name 'The Fynnes' on the ancient Fynne Wildwood: a Gysahlian human thief that was infamous for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. The Fynnes were notorious for never stealing from the lower classes of New Bartzbringe City, and their notoriety has remained this way despite the Ozmanian government and Crystalism's efforts to demonize the gang. Even when most people will agree that the Fynnes had chewed more than they could when they tried to run the coup de'tat on the Ozmanian government, they largely agree that the gang were mostly harmless.
