Encorion Quaranil

Biography

Encorion grew up in one of the great noble houses of Asfalon, the ancient elven kingdom once situated in the Westfork. From a young age he was one of the most gifted magicians amongst his peers. Like most young nobles in Asfalon, Encorion was sent to the boarding institute were he was trained in the arts of magic, philosophy and warfare. Encorion developed into a ruthless adversary, crushing several students from lesser noble houses in practice, or when they looked at him funny in the hallways.
To teach him a lesson, his teachers sent Encorion to the northern frontier at a very young age. Here, Encorion was forced to endure amidst orc raids, where he developed his destructive powers even further. When he returned to the institute several years later he burned most of his former teachers alive and took their position. Under his guidance, the Institute was reformed with even more iron discipline and combat techniques. In the coming years Encorion churned out amazing battle mages, but none could parallel himself.

Skills

Encorion is an amazingly gifted mage. Although he is most versed in the school of destruction, he has shown he has the capabilities to learn from other schools as well, when he needs their powers to further his own path.

Personality

Encorion leads with iron discipline and isn't any kinder to himself. He has to always be focused and demands only the best performance. Those he deems lesser he sees either as pawns or as obstructions, and obstructions usually aren't in his path very long...

Ideals

Critics would call Encorion mad with power, but those critics would not dare whisper that anywhere near him.

Bonds

In his youth Encorion often wrote to his sister. Especially when he was frightened. It is unclear however what has become of her in the thousands of years of slumber.

Flaws

Encorion is blind to anyone's feelings but his own.
